Factory Network

Factory network

WieldMaster organizes and coordinates the partner factory capabilities that stand behind WEIDA hand tool programs. This is a coordinated network: not every factory is owned by WieldMaster, and not every product is produced in a single facility.

How the network is organized

WieldMaster holds the product, brand and program responsibility, then matches each requirement to the partner factory capability that fits the item. For any given order, the production entity, facility and process plan are identified and confirmed in writing — they are not assumed from a general statement about a factory.

Capability matching

Product, material, finishing and packaging requirements are matched to the partner factory able to meet them.

Coordinated programs

Where an item spans several capabilities, WieldMaster coordinates the steps and the hand-offs between parties.

Confirmed per order

Production entity, facility and responsibility split are confirmed in writing for the exact item being quoted.

Process steps a program is planned around

The following steps describe an industrial hand-tool workflow. Which of them apply, and by which facility, is confirmed for the order.

  • Tooling and mold making. Preparing molds and tooling for the product.
  • Forging and preparation. Forming the workpiece from prepared material.
  • Heat treatment. Adjusting material properties for the intended use.
  • Machining and finishing. Shaping, surface treatment and electroplating where required.
  • Assembly. Assembling tools and sets.
  • Marking. Laser marking for branding and identification, subject to confirmation.
  • Testing. Applying the tests defined for the product and order.
  • Packing and dispatch. Preparing goods for shipment against the order profile.

Inside coordinated factory capability

Each image below shows a capability used in coordinated factory programs. It illustrates that capability only; it is not a statement that a single site or line covers every WEIDA product.

Where the factory network meets quality

Capability planning and documentation coordination run together, so the tests, documents and packing for an order match the item being produced. See Quality & Documentation and the Trust Center.
